[identity profile] technophobia.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] x_project
It's been a year since we did the last one of these, and we believe many of us could use the pick-me-up.

As last year, below this post, there will be a comment for each player in XProject, with notes on who they play, links to their wiki entry, links to the journals for their characters, and some helpful identifying icons. Because we think it looks cool. As last year, there will actually be two posts so that the people at the end of the alphabet don't get left out.

Differently from last year, once we have all this nonsense up, we'll do one big meta-edit to put a link to each person's comment.

As usual, you can find last year and other previous threads like this listed off your Player Page on the wiki, and those will get linked in the comments.

And last, speaking in the third person because as you can see, the first post was done by Frito (also we occasionally like to refer to ourselves in the third person because we're weird).

(side note: I think I checked all the links, but if something is broken, let me know? I'm going to be seeing "a href" in my sleep tonight, I think...)

Mon is my wifey, and she really does deserve the title (conjugal visits aside). Adrienne and Vanessa have really grown up together in the game, going from rather distant, detached people to who they are now. The complications of their dynamic only grow and weave themselves into tighter and tighter knots. And I love every minute of it.

Catseye has really come into her own in the past six months or so. Taking the character on as an adoption was always sort of a miracle or act of insanity, I think, but while Mon had a decent grasp on the kid from the beginning she's definitely branded the catgirl as her own lately. Catseye somehow manages to be the one person everyone will tell their secrets to, and the only person Kevin trusts in his bed.

I really love what Mon's doing with her girls and I look forward to what they will grow into in the future. (Also I just love Mon to a ridiculous degree anyway.)

Mon is another person I met in a different game that wound up dying a well-deserved death. Rl ate me, then a different game, but she was just as enthusiastic and welcoming once I turned up in XP as she was in that first game and I'm glad I get to know her. *smiles*

She's quick to log with, which is important to me, cause sometimes my head falls off or RL decides it needs to drown me, and then I forget what I was doing. Mon is also wonderful when it comes to prodding in a gentle manner and I <3 her for that. Adrienne is fun to read, but I have to admit that Cats is my favorite of the two to log with because, seriously. JPB is flat out incapable of being mean to her and that is amazing. From that very first log where she pounced on him to the one we're working on now, the dynamic between them has been fascinating for me and I'm looking forward to all the future development we'll get to do.

And, you know. JPB getting to pull the suspicious paternal thing was definitely the funniest thing I've managed to do with him thus far. *hugs*

It's taken me a while to reply to this one, not because it's hard to think of nice things to say, but more because it's hard to whittle them down to something that will fit in the comment box. ;)

I love Mon to death. She's a great writer, one of those people who is willing to let their characters look silly if the situation calls for it and who writes wonderfully detailed and contradictory characters. I adore Adrienne, especially now she and Garrison are one of the world's oddest couples (after J-P and John) and always love writing Amanda with her. And Catseye... I never thought someone could take on the character and actually develop her past the one note cat-girl joke, but Mon has done it and done it beautifully.

But aside from all that, Mon is a wonderful, caring person who is terrific fun to drink with and one day we will all wind up at a Jays game together. :)

Cats is so much fun to have interact with Megan. I haven't had a chance yet for Megan to meet Adrienne.

Mon is a great player!
