Nods to the workmanship of people who deserve it
For those of you who havn't noticed, Dex does a lot of work with new players. When we get a heap of new people, he manages to put in a plot that mashes all those new players and characters together, taking away the awkward, alienated feeling you have when you first walk into an RPG as big as this one. As a player that was involved in that mashing, I want to commend that because without it, all these plots going on around the new players make them feel less than important. And it couldn't be less true. They are important. New Players make the game fresh and when you shove new RPers with Old and polished Rpers, you can only get a lot of awkward but good fun that makes the newer player/writer want to write better. So here's my nod to Dex.
And another nod to public advertising. Without it, I know alot of people wouldn't be here in this RPG. As someone who had been looking for a good Xmen game for four years, I can't say I wasn't overwhelmed but intrigued by the game. The challenge is there for Roleplayers who want a better game to join, to step out of their comfort zones ofgreatestinsanejournal, livejournal, etc and try something out new and fresh, also bringing their own contributions to the game.
New people are great fun and I nod to the hardships of bringing them in and challenging them to step up and blend into the XP world. Welcome New Players, nods to the old and salute to the readers.
