Rictor Effect - Thank you
Now that the wave of posting euphoria has passed, I have a few people I'd like to thank.
First off, half the praise for this undertaking goes directly to Tap. She did half the work, and was instrumental in pulling this thing together. She deserves half the credit and half the blame.
Also, many thanks to the wonderful Alicia, for helping figure out how to coordinate this damn thing and for talking me off the ledge a couple of times. I couldn't have done it without her or Tap.
And many thanks to Matt Nute. Not only does he do a diabolically wonderful Magneto, but he egged me and Tap on when we were plotting this thing. So it's all technically his fault.
This came together amazingly. It's much better than how I saw it in my head, and that's thanks to all of you who particiapted.
Now, to the clean-up!
hugs and kisses,
Azzy

I think you could say that personally I think this one's awesome. *grins*
Seriously, though, everyone involved with this did an incredible job. It was a hugely ambitious plot and it's been carried off brilliantly. I'm going to enjoy reading what people come up with over the next week or so of cleanup.
Tap, Azzy, Nute, you did amazingly well.

And just when it was the most exciting, I had a moment when I was thinking 'So, San Diego's going to be hit by a Tsunami - what could be worse?' and it was as if Jean and Nate and Jim looked at each other and said 'well...we could make it a boiling Tsunami. Shall we?' :P

And if I hadn't been at the wrong angle, I so would have aimed for his head.

I'm glad you found it exciting -- there's always the question of whether the drama will play as well on paper as it will in your head, and RE carried off better than all personal expectation in this respect. I have to say, I doubt I'll be making a post with four climaxes in it again anytime soon . . .

I think I'm going to like Julio. Magneto's characterization was wicked as a tack. Nathan continued his dual trademarks of blowing himself up, and being one of the games most dramatic and compelling characters. Jim's actions and their consequence blew me away; that climax was so very cool I can't find the words. I'm looking forward to seeing what’s going to happen now.
I also thought the action here 'played’ very well. I've been known to skip fight scenes, but I'm reading everything involved here, and all the follow up logs, and loving it.
(Although I suspect that someone in the medlab had to change the sign: 0 days since Nathan last exploded. . .)

Nate says: "Pbbbbth."
And Jim's writer is impossibly brilliant, yes she is.
