Thank yous
Apr. 1st, 2008 07:55 pmAs revealed to the players this morning, yes Mark is alive, and yes this was all an elaborate April Fools' joke. I got the idea a couple of months ago while idly wondering what it would be like to run a plot where not only is a PC killed, but no one except those in on the plot knows that this would happen. After a lot of discussion with the rest of X-Force, we came up with the idea of bringing back the Warwolves on a vengeance mission to New York, and Operation: Take A Bow was born.
So first and foremost, a huge thank you to the players of X-Force, not only for coming up with some brilliant ideas, but for putting up with me running my first big plot and being probably too hands-on a plotrunner. Also thank you for agreeing to keep this a secret for so long. A lot of really fantastic writing came out of this, and we got to see parts of characters we don't see often. I was floored every time a log went up, and I just want to read everything over and over again.
Second, a thank you to the mods for allowing me to run a potentially controversial plot, and especially to Alicia for working with me so Take A Bow and Nicobar Reef could run at the same time without overlapping.
And third, thank you to everyone who's sent me feedback, even if I didn't trick you. At the very least, I know I planned an enjoyable, nontraditional read that has entertained people, and ultimately, that's what's important. This was definitely worth it.
