But to reiterate - good stuff. I really enjoyed the Lorna sections of this. Especially the bit with the watch. Nasty yet practical.

It was a very linear way of dealing with the situation. Yanking someone around by their watch. Simple and yet ingenious.

Being around for event showdowns helps. :)
I could post 'this is a good log and this is a good log and this is a good log' all day, but I'm lazy that way, and it's easier to make a comment on a series of connected logs.
Be assured that Lorna always was among my favorite characters and with some of those retired she doesn't have much scope upwards left in the Ashenmote charts.

Okay, I'm not giving you the exact rating, because I just don't want all that blood on my hands. :P You're all moving around like a crowd of mouse babies in a box anyway, depending on who is actively posting at a given point.

So, my top five favorite characters in alphabetical order:
Catseye, Jamie, Kyle, Lorna and Paige. Cain would be rank six and that's a bit of a problem right there because Juggernaut can't be stopped.

And you all must keep an eye out for Clarice, who is approaching at hazardous velocity.

Hrm. Damn, too many of my favorites are on the list to start bumping them off. Foiled again.

I know :) I was proud on not being like 'Is it spring already?!' at you for a good while. And when I saw the log with Logan, I was all excited because I took that as a hint that things might get started soon.

One plot is in motion and logs are being written, one is on the table for re-discussion, and one is in pre-plotting process.

Have to admit, I don't get Saul's personality. Okay, it's not like he had a sudden breakdown, I've seen that slow development from patronizing advice to Nathan, to trying to mediate between Nathan and Gideon, to arrival at the mansion and finally turning against Gideon, but what made him change his mind there, I have no clue. I mean, a good moment for second thoughts was like, 30 years ago and he has been happily playing the 'make Nathan's live miserable' scheme all the while?
If I had any saying in it he would get a headstone with a big WTF engraved.

I think, in the end, Saul's choice was about Gideon crossing a line. He wasn't ever willing to go as far as Gideon - him having left it up to Gideon to send Nate to Mistra, etc. - and Gideon knew that. Plus, Saul really truly believed that everything that had happened to Nate just made him stronger - getting killed by Gideon, however, would not have. So. ;)

I wondered if that was the key factor, but then I thought, was that conceivably the first time for him to think that Nathan might have kicked the bucket? And I kinda answered that no. (Okay, for all I know he stabbed Gideon with a fork after Nathan jumped through the tower restaurant window, we haven't seen his reaction there).

At any rate I do not think highly of his fatherly instincts. :)

Thank you very much for the feedback -- the log from Nate's brain was an enormous amount of fun. I've been looking forward to exploring astral physics with Haller, and I'm glad the scene was at least half as enjoyable to read as it was to write. Gives us lots to play with later, too. *G*

I was kinda impressed with Haller's astral-smoking in a place that is so prone to spontaneous explosions. I bet even Bruce Willis would be to chicken to astral smoke in Nathan's brain.

Considering the environment Haller learned to use his telepathy in, Nathan's mind is refreshingly stable. Which . . . sort of explains the desperate chain-smoking, actually.

Agreed. And I was very glad to see a Paige/Angelo log - it's been waaaaay too long and it's interesting to see how their dynamic has changed since the breakup.

Overall a very satisfying conclusion to the whole saga. Although Nate really is going to be fitted for that shock collar now, isn't he?

I think now they're just trying to work out what their dynamic is. Hence the oddness of that conversation. It is very different, though.

Yeah, I'm a tad embarrassed after the whole "I'm gone" posts, but I couldn't stay away. Sorted out various things and Amanda's back as part of a new section of the game which will become clearer in the next few weeks. :)

Bah, first you made goodbye posts and then you were gone and now you come back, that's the correct order, nothing embarrassing about that. And I am happy. I missed Amanda. :)

As for Madelyn, she'll be staying gone. As an original character (created by one of XP's original players) she was providing something of an awkward precedent for the game in terms of our "no OCs" rule, so I agreed with that mods that she should be retired permanently. She may appear as an NPC if plots require it, but we can safely assume she's living happily ever after in Scotland.

It may be I pick up another alt eventually, but I'd like to play around with New!Amanda first. You'll notice a lot of changes in the character, and not just powers-wise.
