It probably helped that I never looked up Haller's background, so that it was all new and shiny to me, but at any rate I enjoyed reading "Five against One" a lot.

To me, the scene in Moira's lab was the most intense, with Davey's attempts to get David to notice him.

Thanks.

Thanks you. I admit I had no clue if The Madness was going to be compelling enough to keep people's attention for so, so many pages that one day I may even bring myself to count. I was also Brung Low by spring for about a week of my prelogging time. There was just a bit of stress associated with not being able to form a coherent thought for seven days. (Fortunately with some parts that actually helped. *G*)

Suffice it to say my loggers had incredible patience.

(And I was at an advantage for the element of surprise -- Legion's backstory was in about three issues total in The New Mutants about 20 years ago, and I think there are maybe four people who remembered anything about it. Which is great, since it means no one will ever know how much I rip off Chris Claremont. Obscure characters FTW.)

The existence of Davey and Cyndi occasionally worries me (in the capacity of what it says about David's brain), but given all the trauma packed into the guy I doubt the injection of irreverance hurt. My only rule is that Cyndi and Davey are entitled to say whatever the readers must be thinking. Like "This is making me die in my brain."

This plot made me realize that from now on, if a life-or-death situation must be exposited, the telling of all drama will be relegated to whichever character cares about it the least.

Wikipedia's basically right, but the best resource is http://www.marveldatabase.com/Legion_(David_Haller) , which has a complete summary of the trilogy plus scans of the individual alters. That arc is what I based my entire app on, though Davey was an addition of my own. And yes. That is the source of all the jokes about Haller's hair having a life of its own.

It works better when you link to the right page (http://www.marveldatabase.com/Legion_(David_Haller)).

Oh, well, then I can forgive them.

Angelo gets no love from Marvel, though. Ever.

Two words for you.

Gorgeous. George.

The man's name is Gorgeous George, for goodness' sake. The only place that works in Australia is Oxford Street at Gay Mardi Gras time.

Or Grape Jelly, depending.

Yeah. *winces*

And yet, I've got this morbid fascination with Gorgeous George because the name is so very, very wrong. I'm almost tempted to see about applying for him.

Keep the mods informed -- as current plots stand there's really good odds he will make an appearance in XP in about, oh . . . a month. Not that that couldn't change.

Or, y'know. Be worked with.

*Really*? Which plot is that in? Because I'm just not sure I can do flamingly gay and evil.

Although it is very, very temoting. Just because the name is so wrong. :)

It's on the plot calendar for May, "Ahab." We needed some NPCs, and, um, let's just say whimsy won. I'm going home now. We can speak more of this in private. Or rather, you and someone can.

And no worries about the play difficulties. We were going a different way. *EG*

go ahead and ping me if you want more info. Becuase using him was technically my idea. Something along the lines of:

"Let's find the lamest-ass villian team we can find, and make them bad-ass! Sorta..."
