I had meant to post this last week, but Life got in the way.

The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen

Revenant was a plot that was a year in the half in the making. From the original seeds came an exciting, convoluted and unexpected plot, with all sorts of repercussions that will be played out for a while. And that would not have been possible without a number of people, who I want to acknowledge now:

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who betaed the plot and helped me work out the glitches and extended it way past the original idea. Also to Dex for plotting sessions at the pub and for helping me come up with the shock element at the end.

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who jumped at the chance of turning Meggan evil, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who gleefully joined in, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who played Kurt's worry to the hilt and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who let me drag Amara into all this.

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who stepped up to the plate to help out when I lost a major character unexpectedly.

The X-Forcers and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who played support on this one for me and who did a great job, finding ways to get involved.

The HFC players, who accepted a difficult scenario and ran with it.

And my sockers, who all did a brilliant job - [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who gleefully wrote Heinrich Klar and made a person out of a one-shot character introduced way back in Lost in the Woods; [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who did a brilliant job of socking Belladonna in spite of time zones and access constraints; [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who did a wonderful job with the doomed Selene; [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] who stepped up to the plate with Sebastian Shaw and had a fantastic back and forth with Emma that made me squee and finally [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], who socked Karl Mordo and Peter Alarune, and of course, our favourite poor hurt fowl, Candra.

Thank you, all of you. Plots are nothing without the people playing in them, and you all deserve kudos for the roles you played.

Getting to watch Jen and Amanda go back and forth with Shaw and Emma was amazing, and then Erin's Belladonna was perfect. I had so much fun watching them all be brilliant.

Is there a word more sinister than gleeful?

But honestly, thank you for running it. I'm getting a lot of unexpected development for Marie-Ange out of this for the long term, and I had a blast writing Klar once I got past my initial "Okaaay, he's pretty much the most evil thing I've ever written." panic. I honestly didn't expect him to turn into a person as the plot started wrapping up, but I'm glad he did, because it'll make him all the more fun when we inevitably see him again.

I'm still only half way through it but I'm really enjoying the reading of it.
