Hank: Were I to find out that Madelyn has a clearly... complicated... but undeniable attraction to Remy, I would of course refrain from making my own interest known. Nothing good ever came of pursuing a woman whose interest lies elsewhere.

Were we already involved, when I found out... well. How can I compete with such powerful chemistry? I've never managed to inspire such a response myself, so I'd probably try to bow out and give them their chance.
