We seem to be on approximately an every year rotation with this one so I figured it was time for a new one. The lovely Fritolicious was like-minded so she'll be getting the second half done in another post because, well, there's a lot of us. (Part two is over here)

This is how it works for those of you new within the past year or who have swiss cheese for memories. Below you will find a comment for each player, alphabetical by name, with links to their wiki player pages as well as links to the LJs of their characters with shiny little visuals. Reply to the comments with any and all positive feedback.

No negativity is welcome.

Aisy! So much love for you. On the surface, Paige and Sofia seem so alike in terms of their take-no-bullshit snarkiness, but when you dig deeper, you realize that they're both very multifaceted, complex, deep characters.

I have a particular fondness for Paige, I have to admit. She is smart and sassy and so very snarky. That snark is very likely what I love about her most. Especially because she sort of pops out of the woodwork at random with it and it's like a drive by. It takes you a minute to process it while you go "wait, what just happened?" I shouldn't have favorites, but of your girls she's mine.

And you are just such an incredibly talented lady yourself. Your contributions to XPP discussions manage to diffuse the heated conversations that can erupt, and do so almost effortlessly it seems. I'll be glad to have you and the girls around more when life calms down a bit for you.

I'm very much looking forward to writing some Paige/Sam with you, I've gotta say. In prepping for taking on Sam I went back and read some of what you've done with her and it's fantastic, I only hope I can hold my own when we get to log. :)

Considering you're sitting about two feet away from me, this is a bit weird, but I love your girls and you're writing. I love logging Paige and Yvette together, especially now they're both X-Men and the dynamic has had to change - Yvette adores Paige, always has. And Sof is a wonderfully complex character.

And then there's just you, with all the love and the adoration. So, yeah. Love you to bits.

I really miss Pete. It says something monumental that your - and Pete's - influences and the strength of your ideas and writing that the ideas and character notes and influences on other people's characters still pop up frequently even after you've gone quiet and Pete's gone to Muir to recover.

I keep a bookmark folder of 'logs I re-read' because the logs are just that good, and several of those are yours. Your Emma is just so quintessentially Emma Frost to me, conflicted and fabulous and damaged and the quiet but intense conflict between Emma and Remy in regards to Snow Valley and Emma's frequent conflicts between the team and the Hellfire Club are amazing.

Laura is a wonderful, spunky character and I seriously love the dynamic that's developed between her and Wade. They're fun to log and some of the stuff they wind up saying/doing is hilarious. Aura's patient and friendly, fantastic when it comes to working around ridiculous schedules, and always up for a bit of fun. I look forward to many, many more logs!

First of all, you run with my ridiculous ideas like Marie-Ange drawing on Wade or using random sketches she did for him as fodder for an animated army of Bea Arthurs dressed in Amazon Armor.

But second and possibly more importantly - you take someone like Deadpool and make him human and approachable and still absolutely mad. He bought Molly a moose! He used kareoke as a tactic! And yet he's not just insane and madcap, as we saw in his panic at the remote possibility he could be Kyle's dad.

Jan's growth from slightly dippy teenager to mature young woman has been one of the smoothest and most logical and well-laid-out growths I've seen. She hasn't changed so much as grown and she's still exuberant and excitable and the Peeps Fairy but she's also developed into a woman who can be dead serious about her role on the X-Men.

I love Bishop's wry, almost hidden sense of humor and the role he's taken in XFI as sort of the father-figure when we've done group logs. He's fun to read and I really enjoyed seeing him in action, especially the last couple months. I'm looking forward to seeing how he continues to develop and hope we can have him and JPB interact more in the future.

Considering Cross has put up with me nattering at him on the phone for at least an hour, I'm pretty sure he should get some kind of medal. :) He's fun to discuss things with and definitely a fantastic friend. <3.

John is, hands down, one of my favorite characters to read IG. He's wonderful and nuanced - I can't help wanting to read more of him even after his logs are over. I know my schedule doesn't often line up with Da'mien's, but whenever it does, I always try to get in a log or two, because seriously - no matter who John's interacting with, he's amazing.

No seriously, between the fact that you've been patient so many times with me when I panic or freeze up in plots or logs, and the fact that you let me turn Bucky into an ex-CIA agent and give him an adopted daughter just so I could make the Winter Soldier a woman, plus the 95,00 things you do for the game in general. We wouldn't be half the amazing game we are without you, and I'm not sure we'd have survived past the second year.

Sarah is one of those characters that you can see the slow growth - she's still the angry young woman, but now with a direction and focus and now able to move on from her past in some ways and at least face up to it in others even if her past won't let her move on.

The scenes of Ororo rescuing Remy in Red Letter Day were amazing. She's such a prime example of strength and serenity and I am always amazed at what you do with her.

Also, I am pretty sure that I did a little happydance at Remy and Ororo getting married. I'm a sucker for romance.

What do I say to the person who brought me into this game, helped me through the rough spots where I didn't know what to do with my characters, never goes a day without pushing me to be better, and does so much behind the scenes to make sure the game always runs smoothly?

In what is relatively a short time here, you've established yourself as an enthusiastic player willing to chime in, be part of just about anything (including traumatizing plots, crack plots and traumatizing crack plots) and go the extra mile to help the game. Just a thank you in general for the love threads. I've been attacked by Real Life in a truly spectacular fashion over the last year (went to Africa for months, got back, unexpectedly had to buy a house, bought a house, unexpectedly developed a truly smashing boyfriend who wins the "what am I doing tonight" game regularly, started to renovate, took on the membership officer role in my dragonboat club, upped the dragonboating, lost a bad boss and gained a new one who keeps me busy, started wildlife care again). Between all that, I've lost track of new people and new players in the game (of which there's been plenty). The love threads let me finally get my head around who plays whom AND somewhere down the track (boyfriend won most of today, except for this bit at home where I'm cleaning all the things) pass on some much deserved praise. So thank you for remembering to do the love thread again. It's appreciated for a range of reasons.
