Forge and Jay

I lost my computer back in February (still don't have it back, actually) and reading months of logs in two days is doing weird things to my brain that make it hard to write coherent feedback. But Forge and Jay makes me happy and breaks my heart all at the same time. Seriously. This is absolutely wonderful work. And, while this may sound like an odd complement, I love the consistency of characterization. And the dialogue and the writing that makes the emotions real without being overstated. And really, Forge's angst and confusion over not feeling anything made the whole thing perfect to me. Happiness is watching people suffer who aren't you. Okay, that might be a bad way to put it. :)

(Seriously. Much love and major applause for their players. So much talent.)

Forge is excellent, isn't he? It's not too hard to see why Jay fell for him.

Well, I can't actually hear my own accent, so... (Though I did have a Yankee friend tell me once he thought I "sounded like Scarlett O'Hara". I do believe that was just a sad attempt to hit on me, though.)

Jay's accent... I've seen worse. His isn't bad. I get the woobies any time I read something with a Southern character in it, but only in an "Oh my God, is that what I sound like" way. :grin:

And frankly, Evil Yankee penalties only affect people who insist on typing out their characters' journal entries with the damn accent. Such people get special "What the hell is wrong with you!?" points.

Also, I suddenly feel the need to point out that I think Jay(and his accent) are extremely cute and woobie. Although, that probably isn't quite the image an aspiring rock star wants. ;) Okay, then: CrazySexyCool! And in serious need of a shirtless icon. ;P

Sweet mother Mary, I can only imagine how badly that would end. My track record is dismal with relationships. Besides, I don't really think Forge knows I exists. I don't have any mechanical parts.

Besides, my player wants me to hold out for a Wade Wilson type.

And what about sounds that make people sick or agitated, or otherwise emotionally wonky? Could you do any of those? I mean, suppose you don't want to blow some poor guys' eardrums out, but still want to knock them out?

Forge's player is insistent on pointing out that Forge sat through an entire semester and a half of Moira's class on mutant powers? And that one of his stated LJ interests is sonics, hmm?

(and that one of the unstated ones is cute redheads with accents, but we'll let that slide)
