Much with the feedback, here

Such a sweet character. He's just very nice. And very good with people. Lorna/Alex squee! Alex/Shiro OTF! Alex not wanting to deny Lorna anything she wants and being willing to put aside what he wants for her. (Poor, frustrated Lorna.) He's just too sweet. Not a bad way, in a "Oh Alex, honey, you're breaking my heart with all this giving in." But he's so troubled with evil Selene and all his powers and you've kept him from becoming jaded or bitter and he's just so incredible. He (and you!) are just wow and so great and angsty wah all at once. (Err, incoherent much?) Love Alex. And Lorna. And Shiro. S'all good.
Catseye
Seems to me like a way hard character to write. Keeping the speech pattern and the cat-human blend seems to me like it would be very, very hard. But you're a great writer. Perfect, perfect characterization, perfect catness. I'm completely astonished at how well she's written and how much fun she is. I have no idea how you handle her so well: that blend of human and feline thinking mixing to form a distinctive whole. And she's so cute. (Though, actually, it's heartbreaking to think about what kind of life would leave a littlegirl kitten like this.) But you've created a perfect character.
Kitty
Sweetest, smartest, cutest, most sensible character in the game. (Sensible in a good, not boring way. It's sort of an, "Oh Lord, Nate blowed himself up again; thank God, Kitty's too smart to get herself stuck in a wall." kind of thing.) It's very relieving to fangirl a character you don't have to worry is going to kill their self out of sheer stupidity. (I'm kiddingmostly.I fangirl Nate madly.) And Lockheed logs? Best. Thing. Ever. Also, apropos of really good logs, I have decided I shall ship Jamie/Kitty. OTP icons forthcoming. *g*
Jamie
He's funny! And... wow. His player is well-rounded, is that the word? You can do funny logs and sappy logs, action logs and angsty, heart-breaking logs and it's well-written and well-characterized. Actually, _canon_ Jamie is one of the characters I lack interest in, which is why it amazes me I find your Jamie so likable and interesting. He's one of the strongest characters in the game. And Skippy (you knew I was going to mention him); wow. You write a great villain. Creepy and angry, understandable and disturbing all at the same time. (But, poor Jamie.) Just wow. Incoherent with wow.
Moira
Yet more proof that a character doesn't have to be a teenager to be interesting and adorable. Moira's such a strong character. (And I love how you've avoided any den mother cliches.) An adult character can be just interesting as the teenage ones. Oh, and Kevin. I have never been able to get this post out of my head. Her worrying over the new baby and Nate because of her horrible past, and you can't help but cringe in sympathy because all her fears are rational and grounded in reality, and there's no way anyone can comfort her. Very throat-catching work. (Also, I love her PB. It's, like, the most perfect choice ever.) And she's very, very tough and cool. I love her logs. (I love _everybody's_ logs, but hey.) There need to be more Moira logs.
Wanda
I like XP Wanda much better than her canon counterpart. She's a great, strong character with powers well-handled and better defined than anywhere else. (My favorite Wanda scenes are still from Reavers. Though, I only got a chance to read it Monday.) She's very strong and clever and complicated. And just... she has the best thoughts and ideas and there's a playful quality to her dialogue that is completely cool. She's very well-view-pointed, and so is Moira. I'd never have guessed they were played by the same person. They are just so different, though both are very strong characters. You've given them both personalities that are well thought out and compelling. And you have a knack for viewpoint and characterization. You're absolutely amazing.
I missed people, not out of malice (or disliking the characters) but because of time. I'm losing internet access today around noonish, and it doesn't look like I'll be getting it back any time soon. But every player should have a squeeing, gleeful post about at least one of their characters, so who'm I missing? Only tell me, like, now, so I can post it before I lose the Internet.

It's been illuminating reading what a non-player thinks of the characters/game. Totally agree with the Paige write-up. ;)

Oh, thank you. ;) I was kind of worried I'd pegged her wrong.

I think it's been more fun this way anyway.
As do I. Besides, if things had gone differently and Kit had ended up with Piotr, we would probably never have been able to make so many girly-Piotr jokes...

And we would miss those very much, I agree. Also, 'Yana might have had to lay off Piotr a little if he were her best friend's boyfriend, and Yanasnark is fun.

Date: 2005-06-26 07:32 pm (UTC)She's terrible fun to do - and sometimes inflicts massive susprises on those who forget that this is in fact a cat they are dealing with, for every intent and purpose, and that her thinking is not (nor will be for a while though there's changes happening) human by any stretch of the imagination. :)
Thank you. I'm glad it comes across so well!
