*laughing* I dunno that he's ever actually mentioned that particular fantasy to anybody, tbh. It's the kinda thing he's like, "I'll start on that in a couple years..." And it gets pushed to the back burner while he goes off to kill more people or whatever. And then it's like, "Well, the money in the house account could be shifted around to this Habitat for Humanity thing that's going on in New Orleans (or wherever) and I can always start from the bottom up again... it's not like it'll take long, with all my contracts and stuff."

Probably she'd have more luck getting him a couple junk cars he can start restoring. He's got a list up on the fridge in the suite he shares with Clarice of all the makes/models/years he wants to get eventually. There are like fifteen cars on it atm.

*writes it down* I figure while Laurie doesn't have a heap of money being a poor med student, she can certainly plot to find the cheapest of the models he wants and make it a gift.

I have this image in my head by the by after his talk with Maya of her buying him a toybox car of the car he was restoring for his next birthday just as a reminder that she was actually listening to him and appreciated the talk.
