If that's so then I take this opportunity to goodnaturedly thump any other reader/stalkers out there. Second, to say the log w/Terry!Mun in the woods was also well done. Third and last to bat eyes in hopes for more Betts playage in the field and (probably much to character's horror) exposure to the student horde.
Slightly off topic, too bad Intel doesn't have it's own trainees for the field as Forge and Kitty would be fascinating in that increased capacity (as they are now) and trainer/teacher dynamic with Psylocke and Gambit.
More Betsy is always a good thing. She's so... purple!
(Ohgod, Jazz, don't kill me.)
Paige crosses her arms and glares at the fact that no one can see her going towards the dark(er) side. But... she should have been an only child. Bit of a complex, there.
Actually, Forge would be fantastically horrible as an Intel operative. What with the approximate attention span of a mayfly and his notorious disdain for any pursuit outside his expertise.
He'll happily play 'Q' for them, though. So long as they don't break his toys.
Well, the Catseye logs made me think he'd be rather dogged when it came to a good mystery so I thought initially he'd be suited to intel analysis but yeah, definitely Q.

The last time Gambit was in a mentor mode, they knocked over a casino in Vegas. I have my doubts Xavier is looking for him to pass along his particular skills.
"Alright, mes amis, dis is what we call de 'short con'."
And Terry had a blast but talk about getting in trouble with her dad. Asking to be an X-men trainee is going to be bad enough, can you imagine if she asked to be an intel trainee?
But corruption of the mutant youth is just super fun to watch. *pouts*
I'll have to refresh myself later but Vegas in my recollection played almost like an old-school X-Force caper just with y'know, less spandex and explosions but plenty of witty repartee to compensate. I suppose that's why I love the trainee action (ahem, paging Jubilee to the DR).
I couldn't remember if the Prof sanctioned, was ignorant or turned a blind eye to the Vegas episode though and yes, I doubt the training would fly with the kids folks either.
It was sanctioned as a sort of "no other choice" kind of thing. Arcade had the info, there was no other way of getting it, and it was too dangerous to the school to have it floating around...

-splutters- Hey! No reading my mind! There's a -process- for these sorts of things, and you're jumping the gun. :p

Once she can stand him, she'll consider asking him. ;)
