I Love Me(me)
Aug. 5th, 2022 02:45 pmYes, it's the love meme! Isa and I have been talking about posting it and finally talk has become action! Here's the drill: every player has a comment below for folks to leave love. It doesn't have to be words, gifs are also good. We're going backwards to distribute the love evenly (people get worn out by the end of the alphabet, so lets start with them this time!).
We've also included links to the player's wiki page and their character's logs, so you can take a refresh peek at what they've been doing. We'll also link to the individual threads from the player pages, so you can go back later and bask when you need it.
No negativity - if you can't say something positive, don't say anything at all, as the saying goes. ;)
If for any reason you'd rather not be included ping Isa or I and we'll quietly remove your thread. Or, if giving feedback publicly is a bit much, you can email the person directly (email addies are available on the player pages).
No time limits - do your best and no love is too small!
(Thanks Walks for these!)
Five words or a gif you think of when you think of this player.
Five words or a gif you think of when you think of this player's character.
Five words or a gif your characters think of when you think of this player's character.
Three random things you'd love to see this person's characters do.
You and this player can travel anywhere in the world. Where would you take them?
What's the first log or character moment that pops into your mind when you think about this player?

The conversation had taken a turn into the serious sort that might require a bit of liquid courage, even if Kevin couldn't get drunk. She snagged her own drink as he settled back into his chair, electing to drape her legs over his lap as she perched on the arm of the chair.
"Couldn't. I'm absolutely sterile.' Kevin said, as he poured them both martinis. "I never blamed her for a moment. It was important to her and we never knew."
"That sucks." It didn't nearly convey the depths of the complicated twist of emotions the knowledge evoked, but it was honest. "I imagine it was pretty rough on her, and maybe for you too. Was it amicable, at least, once you found out?"
"I let her go. Because how else." Kevin said, drawing in a long breath. "I'd rather dance."
Her fingers slipped through the hair at his temple briefly as she stood, letting the subject drop. "Alright old man, take me around the floor a few more spins." Dinah Washington filled the room as they started to move again, and Darcy sang quietly along as Kevin led her through the steps. ♪ Hide your heart from sight, lock your dreams at night ♪
April - this scene with Kyle:
Kyle nodded, a frown passing over his face before he seemed to force it off. "It's.. yeah, it's not great. We do our best, I wanna think that we're making it less bad, but dang." He shrugged. "Okay, our universe is a dystopia aside, team stuff. I mean, sounds like it's X-Men or X-Factor for you? I mean you don't have to be on a team, but like, you were already superheroing...."
"Yeah. Probably more X-Men I think, because I've never had a strong desire to actually be a detective, even if I worked with them. But first I'd like to meet some of them, see how we mesh?" She had the strength and enough of a healing factor to take on things that were dangerous for someone with a standard human body, and why not keep doing what she'd trained to do? Sitting around doing nothing except focusing on school made her antsy, but she was wise enough to realize that she couldn't just start swinging around Queens like she had at home. She needed to understand the lay of the land better, and with the anti-mutant sentiment she'd seen in the news and even just casually talked about in class... she probably could go it alone for a while, but a team would be better. Safer, smarter.
Dad would be proud of her maturity. He'd understood why she mostly preferred to go it alone, but he'd worried. If this world's behavior was more what it'd been like when he got bitten, she could appreciate those concerns. It was just a shame she couldn't tell him that she got it now.
