. . . was really a gorgeous plot, and powerful for all that it was relatively self-contained. It's difficult to balance such massive potential ramifications and still maintain the deep sense of personalness TEW had for Cain, but this did an excellent job. Especially satisfying was the thematically circular nature of the conclusion, both physically (taking it all back to Vietnam, which has been a ghost over Cain's shoulder since the beginning) and psychologically (the series of emotional touchstones ranging from the beginning of Cain's stay at the mansion to the end, particularly the one with Charles). I especially enjoyed the final confrontation between Cain and Cyttorak in Limbo. Lots of vivid visuals there, particularly of Limbo itself. I don't usually have a lot of interest in action scenes, but this one really stood out for me. (And speaking of Limbo, it was good to see Illyana, too. I always enjoy her interaction -- this was a good snapshot for the character. I hope to see her more.)

And of course, X3 quote for the win.

*nods* Ditto on the 'Yana. Great to see something from Lauren again.

And I've already given feedback to this plot twice, but just wanted to add my congrats. The ending lived up to the buildup. Well done, Matt.
