Feedback: Ghost of a Chance
Jun. 21st, 2006 11:31 pmYep, it's that time again... *grins* So many kick-ass plots, so much opportunity to post public feedback.
So, Ghost of a Chance wrapped tonight. I have to admit, I've been looking forward to this plot since Frito first sent me the email outlining what she was planning. And I wasn't disappointed. It's obvious which was my favourite log, but really, everyone involved did brilliantly. And it was a plot that allowed everyone to participate as they wanted. Great concept, with huge scope for everyone to get involved and react without necessarily wallowing in the angst (as much as we enjoy the character torture *grins*).
So, to Frito, kudos on a concept wonderfully conceived and smoothly executed. To everyone else, gold stars for performance. You all done good. :)

Date: 2006-06-22 05:38 am (UTC)Writing Marie-Ange's vision (which I'm not going to spoil, in case some of our readers haven't caught it before reading these comments) involved some research on my part. I got double-whammied. Once from the research and reading back logs, and once from writing the log itself.
Moira's email to Charles cracked me up as much as it was a wistful over what could have been.
Everyone's reactions to the visions have amazed me as well. Off the top of my head - Crystal's fear of Kevin draining Laurie, Forge's "I am AWESOME" to Marius, Nathan's vision and post, and poor poor Wanda getting slimed stick out in my head as notable and awesome - but this entire plot has been amazing to watch happen and unfold.
I think for me one of the best parts was Amanda seeing Remy - it wasn't planned or plotted in the initial writeup, it actually came about because of the breakup and out of a request for a casual fun night for our girls. Unexpected, but it ended up being a vital part of the plot, giving Moira the clue that let her figure out what was going on.
Last - The log of Jim in Marie-Ange's mindscape was actually all Tap's writing, built around several conversations we had about what it would look like. It was fantastic to see what I gave her as bits and pieces of ideas I had turn into the log that went up. Amazing writing. (I've told her twice already. However, it bears repeating.)
