So, a year ago Dex and I ran "Buy Now, Pay Later", otherwise known as the Charlie plot. That plot was inspired by a series of songs by the Australia band, The Whitlams: Charlie Number 1, Charlie Number 2 (Buy Now, Pay Later) and Charlie Number 3, which were written in response to the suicide of founding band member and guitarist/songwriter/singer, Stevie Plunder.

Yes, spot the references all over the place, there. *grins*

"The Curse Stops Here" takes its name from the follow-up song, written by Tim Freedman a few years ago after the suicide death of the second founding member of the band, Andy Lewis. During this plot, I had this song stuck in my head just about non-stop and it's where all the cut tags come from.

I thought I'd share: The Curse Stops Here.

If anyone would like links to the Charlie songs, let me know and I'll put them up.

Learning about shiny new music wasn't something I expected out of x_project. Of course it's not in league with Terry's 'If you were Gay', but then again nothing ever will be, and it's a good song nonetheless. If a little sad.

Thanks for sharing.

And yes, this made me curious about the Charlie songs.

Yeah, couldn't fail to notice the lyrics everywhere in the cut tags, but mostly I'm too preoccupied reading the logs to spend time on tracking down the lyric attached to them.

Thank you so much! I guess I like part 2 the most of the three. It's the more playful piano that does it for me.

Terry lives to serve. *g*

It's worth noting actually, that 'If you were gay' comes from the same musical that Terry and Bobby went to see for Valentine's Day.

*reposted at the right place, duh*

It may also be worth noting that in my imagination the dialog in the song is between Bert and Grover from Sesame Street. Of course they have different voices in Germany, so I'm probably alone with that.

No, you're pretty much supposed to get the parallel to Bert and Ernie. ;)
