Best plot ever. It ripped my heart out and stomped on it and made me cry. The wait between logs really amped up the suspense of the whole plot. And the logs themselves were very disturbing, especially the way the bites on Manuel and Jennie's hands were described. And the absolutely blood-freezing scene where Marius bought Penance. Gah.

Very glad the kids came out mostly functional and that Marius isn't an irredeemable bastard. I've been missing smug Marius, too :). And I was thrilled to see Manuel again. His heroic moment, the consequences of saving Jennie, was such a painful moment. The fact that all these events began when Manuel tried to help Marius was so horrifyingly fitting. Of course everything would go terribly when Manuel tried to do good. And Gemile. I really do adore poor, fucked-up Manuel.

Jennie was thoroughly awesome. She's an incredibly endearing character, and one of my favorites. She's hard for me to categorize, has wit and strength without descending into spunkiness.

(Randomly, since I have no idea who came up with it, I thought the concept and description of the chaos wave was really damn cool.)

I flat out adore this plot and, like [livejournal.com profile] ashenmote, had fallen out of the habit of reading X-Project before these logs sucked me back in.

But aghh, aghh, my heart has been ripped out.

Also, Penance. Her first appearance as Marius's chew toy actually focused my attention more on Marius and what this would mean for him. But these logs are beautiful and made me sniffle. She's so little and sweet. Major props to everyone involved.

And Paige reading The Velveteen Rabbit-! Paige is so much love.

(Storm's and Marie's new players kick ass. I mention this because I can.)

Can I please say that you've made my entire week? Because you have.

Bleeding has been in the works for a very long time, in fact you can probably go back and find all the seeds we've sown over the past year. I know Tap and I both had moments in writing where one of us would go: "Dude! Plotbrick! Plotbrick!"

But yeah, thanks to Tap for letting me in on this thing. And to Red for letting us hit Manuel with a truck. Parts of this were excruciating to write, but I'm glad it was worth it and that people've enjoyed it.

There is actually a log between Wanda and Jennie where I describe how the chaos wave works, but I couldn't find room for it. (Don't worry, I'll fit it in somewhere...) I glad people have enjoyed that scene. My screenwriting class actually has a use. Who knew?

And as for the functioning part. Ahhh. Yeah. *cough* About that. Give us three weeks. And trust us. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, and it's not a train. :)

For me, every day is plotbrick day.
