He wasn't sure this was entirely a good idea. Every other time he'd taken one of Xavier's brood, the cost had been higher than any benefit. But Zach had reassured him the girl would be worth it. Wouldn't be missed, after her mother's death, and her father taking custody.

Erik bent, and raised the girl's chin. She looked stringy, exhausted, running on empty, but he still felt the jolt as her powers forced his body to respond as hers was.

She was terrified.

"Do you know who I am, Laurie?"
