As we have several new players and characters, I figured this would be a good time for another round of "Ask the characters!" You, the player or the reader, ask a question (or two, or three, or more) to any XP character you want and have it answered by the player of that character from the character's perspective. There have already been several of these memes; here are two for you to look at if you want to get ideas and see what's been asked before: one and two.

Because it's me...

What are you wardrobe 'staples'?

Lots of black, lots of plaid, short skirts and clumpy heels, with kneehigh socks pushed down to clump around the ankles. Nori has a studded leather collar that she wears just about everywhere and, although both ears are pierced she often just wears a single skull earing. Her other big staple is a men's leather jacket, a little bit too big for her.

Nori and Jubilee would get along in an awesome way talking fashion, I'm thinking.

Oooh, yes please. And Nori's a staple on the bus runs, so it's entirely possible she'd run into Jubes in the city.

Marie-Ange is a clothes horse. I'm not sure she has 'staples' she tends to tailor her clothes to what she's doing. She wears a lot of skirts in the office because she has great legs. Khakis if they're at risk for doing something fight-y, and shirts with short sleeves or the tanktop/blouse combo so she can get at the tattoo on her arm if needed.

Kyle dresses like I do - find a pair of pants you like, buy five copies. So blue jeans in various stages of cuff tearing, and a couple pairs of Dockers if he has to dress up. Lots of tanktops, lots of t-shirts.

Amanda: the leather jacket and the Docs. She'll wear them everywhere, almost any situation, especially since she started with XF and the chances of random fighting increased. At work she does the business casual, mostly slacks and blouses with a blazer over the top - she has to always have something with pockets. Out of the office she trends towards jeans, a variety of band t-shirts (with a flannel shirt over the top for colder weather) and the jacket/Docs, but if she's going out somewhere nice with Angelo, she will make the effort and wear a skirt.

Yvette: the full-length suit Clarice made her of Forge's self-repairing material, gloves and socks of the same. Mostly in black, although she has dark blue and dark red. She tends to wear loose pinafore-type dresses over the top, for greater movement and the fact those are easier to put on/take off over the suit.

During the work week, she tends towards mid-length skirts, often in grey, beige or black, with light colored blouses and a jacket to match if it's cold. She has a couple of suits for stuff in DC or any time she needs to be a Face for the school. Weekends, night shifts and holidays she tends towards jeans or khakis and single-color shirts (often polos), always tucked in, although she's got a couple of really ratty sweaters (at least half of which used to be Scott's).

And, of course, she's got a fairly massive collection of little black dresses with which to make Scott go weak in the knees.

Remy: Trenchcoat. Duh.
Garrison: Three suits for work, all fairly low key, which he usually wears with good cotton white shirts, as opposed to more traditional dress shirts. Otherwise, a rather impressive collection of t-shirts of random Canadian bands, movies, logos and various other slightly obnoxious regional comments.

Shiro: Baggy pants (cargo more often than jeans) and brightly colored t-shirts, often with Engrish slogans.

Mark: Y halo thar, H&M.

Forge:
- at college: Business suit (navy, charcoal, or tan), starched shirt and tie.
- in the office: Jeans and a Xavier Institute polo shirt
- Otherwise: baggy cargo shorts and a tank top.

Cain: carpenter jeans and a plaid flannel shirt. He owns one suit. ONE.

Jane: A variety of brightly patterned and denim skirts, mostly a-line, and flats or tennis shoes of a variety of colors. Tops vary in style and color, but uniformly lightweight.

Clarice: knee high doc martens, plaid skirts or jeans and t-shirts - usually black, her newest addition to this is a green hoodie with a silver skull/flower emblem on it. she's a clothes horse though so there's no telling sometimes what she might add to that.

Dani: jeans or khaki pants, neutral or earth tone blouses, birkenstocks or loafers. or her red dress. she also wears turquoise or traditionally Indian style jewelry like a necklace or bracelet to dress up.

Preppy college professor clothes. Khakis or dress pants and dress shirts. His shirts are actually somewhat stylish, because most of them are gifts from his sister or his girlfriend.

If he's out at the ranch, it's absolutely jeans and t-shirts.

Julio: Jeans or khakis, brightly colored t-shirts with unsual prints. In wintertime he has an omnipresent soccer jacket with Guadalajara's colors.

Jennie: Oh good lord. She's a big fan of the leggings and miniskirt or leggings and really really tiny cute dress look. She also wears skinny jeans (the horror!) and t-shirts. But as anything when you're Jennie, it ALL looks good on her. She also has some 50's-style dresses or lacy tops that she pairs with capris.

ext_3673: Manny, from black books (monet)
From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_bounce_/
Monet's ultra-casual is skinny jeans and dressy tops, with either heels, sandles or colourful sandshoes. She quite likes halter tops and tank tops. She tends not to wear anything much heavier than a light jumper but she'll wear jackets for the look of it.

Anything more dressy than that and she's in skirts or slacks with either blouses or dressy tops.

She has a very large collection of dresses, ranging from full blown black tie red carpet wear to simple dinner dresses and several suits, for the times when she's required to dress formally.

Anything designed by her fashion design company, which has teen lines and business lines. (Adri wears the business stuff, not the teen stuff...) Lots of power suits. Jimmy Choos. White, black, red outfits especially.

Laurie's very much a jeans and t-shirts girl. Mostly hip hugger jeans, some skinny jeans when she's feeling particularly happy. She's got a few dresses but she just feels more comfortable in casual wear.

Jubilee is an entirely different story. My girl is Queen of strange fashion. It's not that it's bad fashion, since it always looks awesome on her, it's just not in colours, patterns or styles anyone else would have chosen. On any style of serious, there could be fighting style thing she'll go with pants and shirts that aren't easily caught hold of.

Pete owns 17 sets of his black suit, white shirt, black tie outfit. When one wears out, he replaces it. Each one is bespoke tailored, and costs him about 2 grand. While he does buy other clothes as work/cover identities demand, he does not keep them.

(He does own a trenchcoat, but he does not generally wear it unless the weather is very, very bad.)

Jay: loose comfortable jeans (might have a hole or two in them) and a tshirt (usually Kevin's or one with a band name on them). Or no tshirt at all. (hate wearing shirts). And for summer, just a cowboy hat and a pair of jeans.

Manuel: Jeans and a dress shirt, or a Tshirt (earth tones, plain).
