"Ask the Characters!"

We haven't had an "Ask the Characters!" since the end of June. And so, because I want to (and because I think that Bleeding probably led to questions), a meme!

Open to player and audience participation. The rules are easy.

Post a question for any character in the game, and get it answered in and/or out of character!

No question is sacred and probably the character won't lie to you.

Terry and/or Bobby: With as often as you've broken up, hit relationship snags, crashed and burned like Dale Earnhardt on Turn Four - what in the world made you think marriage was the next step before fixing those romantic potholes that keep cropping up?

I don't suppose you'll accept that it seemed like a good idea at the time?

We're always going to run into problems. I'll screw up, he'll screw up. It's impossible to we can change who we are. With all that we've been through and how miserable not being with him makes me, why wouldn't we get married? We've no worse odds married than we do just dating.

Does "a good idea at the time" imply "not a good idea now"?

Although, hey, you can apply to become a US citizen now. Though with all the time you've spent here, you could probably qualify for naturalization anyway.

I still think it was a good idea. More than good, I'm deliriously happy.

I don't want to be a U.S. citizen. I might look into permanent resident status but I'd rather be a citizen of Ireland.

The relationship with Marie I expected. That was, after all, half the reason we broke up. Anything else is his business - he shouldn't have to be single forever simply because he and I are no longer a couple. I hope he would not expect that of me if I were to date someone else.

That said, I have to wonder how it is that he has managed several dates, and I've had no luck at all.

And I would caution you that calling Doug a geek is exactly like the pot calling the kettle black.

It's not as if we sat down and came to a thought-out decision to do it. It was a whim. But then once it was all said and done...hell, maybe it was the universe telling us that's what we should do next. I love her, she loves me, and the fact that we have survived all of the 'snags' as you put it, and we're still in love and still together proves that there's something there. Something worth holding onto.

And if you imply that my wife is crazy again, you'll be taking a cold shower one day soon. ;)
