About Voodoo Child
Jun. 13th, 2007 11:22 pmI even made a few notes while reading this time, but it all became blurry by now and one third of the notes were just names with some sort of emoticon or exclamation mark next to it and another third makes no sense to me anymore, so there's not so much left. But then someone else did a proper review already , so I just stick to the bits that I can still figure out and give up about the rest.
I loved the garbage truck that ate Mondo because it made me remember that Arcade used that trap in one of my comics when I was a kid, only with Captain Britain & Spider Man!
I also liked it when Arcade started his own sidegame against his own unpleasant customers, that was very cool. As was John rescuing Yvette from the gluey stuff, and before that, Yvette in action.
And the teamwork of the imprisoned girls was impressive and kinda Famous Five-like and it was nice to see Soraya being so important in that, and Crystal was so badass when she got her powers back! Also, cows.
The hostage against stones exchange was a great read (and then I made a note "homecoming made me cry" and I think that refers to Laurie, maybe? Not sure.)
And the X-Men team-ups were good, especially Wolverine & Tinky-Winky and then...OMG ALISON CAMEO!!!! I miss her so much.
It was great to see Pete in action, that's too rare. But then I was confused: How did the situation with Sophia and Belladonna work out? Did I miss a log there or something? They were facing each other and next thing Sofia was running around somewhere else?
And I could be wrong, but is Yvette, just maybe, having a crush on Mr. Sefton?
I was so sad for Amanda all over the logs and sickly werelight George and her 'heartbroken' icon really didn't help with that. :|
P.S.: Do the Askani really have a word for 'Clown'? :D

Date: 2007-06-13 11:02 pm (UTC)Nope, you didn't miss a thing. Uh, well, you didn't miss a thing, but there was supposed to, or I was hoping, there would be another scenelet in there to break up the two scenes, that was my mistake, but you didn't miss anything. Pretend that made sense.
The BD and Sofia Showdown That Wasn't Shown is a... setup/hint for something else. Dootdoot, this is my innocent face, really.
Sofia-mun.

Many thanks and apologies for the sad-making. Sort of. *grins* It's always good to hear when someone reacts so well to your logging. :)

Date: 2007-06-14 10:00 pm (UTC)Looks like you weren't. The tip off was that she was so very eager to talk about Mr. Sefton. The medlab visit just confirmed it. :)
