Hey kids! I've got a meme for you! And it comes in two parts!
Part the first: What are 5 things about your PC that YOU know but haven't quite made it into canon yet?
Part the second: Once you reply to this meme, you have the option to be tagged in for a question and answer section. You may ask the person's PC any question, and they'll answer back in character. And they probably won't lie. We hope.
You can do one, or the other, or both!

1) Is majoring in Public Relations, and doing fantastically.
2) As a consequence of his adaptivity mutation, his immune system is fantastic; any bug he gets only lasts 24 hours, tops, before it adjusts to kick it out. On the downside, should he develop cancer he would probably be dead in a week; the body's attempts to repair fundamentally broken cells would make things exponentially worse.
3) Though quite social, he needs the option of retreating to his own space. He was also raised with a strict work-ethic, particularly emphasizing education, so his schedule is quite rigid -- various parts of the day are blocked off for study and physical training, which he adheres to with little exceptions.
4) Finds associating with humans (re: his time outside of the School) relaxing because, although he no longer has a biological need to extract marrow, he still feels physically keyed up when in close proximity to them. This is the result of lingering brain damage inflicted by the Infectia virus in Vitiation.
5) Has been making conscious use of a mask of good-natured cluelessness since he was a small child due to not having the best early childhood (illegitimate, stupid name, well-groomed, etc). In addition to being more socially accepted, he also found lowered expectations allowed him to get away with more. Of course, now he has problems dropping it.
Haller
1) For the period of time they were together on Muir while Essex was helping Jay, Haller kept himself as far away as possible because he's still conflicted there, and didn't want to take the chance of upsetting the patients by collapsing a large portion of the Research Center on Essex's head.
2) Believes that Scott is more Xavier's son than he is, in morals and temperment if not speciality (not helped by the fact that, as a young man, Scott spent far more time with Xavier than Haller did), and still sometimes wonders if he's a disappointment to the professor. Also believes that their relation has no influence of Xavier's personal priorities, and Haller is no more important to him than any other student. He has never asked for confirmation.
3) Is actually capable of cooking quite tolerably when Jemail is in ascendence, but usually can't be bothered. Consequently, he ends up doing things like eating frozen greenbeans from the bag for dinner.
4) Though he adheres to the X-Men's non-killing policy, he is not particularly sorry if one of his opponents happens to die. This is a view that was held by both Jemail and David before they merged. He and Xavier do not discuss this, but you have to think it makes things a little tense. Out of respect for Xavier's views, however, Haller has made the unvoiced decision that should he ever cross the line into cold-blooded murder he will quietly remove himself from the team (and, likely, the Institute).
5) Has been sending parts of his paycheck in an envelope with no return address to the mother of Jemail Karami ever since he started drawing wages.
Questions are okay.

Date: 2008-09-27 01:34 am (UTC)I'll also note that his mind is set up a bit oddly as a result of his predatory adaptation. If a psychic knows he's there he's not hard to spot, and when trying to break into his skull his shields are no stronger than a normal non-psi's. However, for the unsuspecting he's got good astral camoflage. Quiet thoughts, subdued pattern. Makes me think of one of those birds patterned the same as the rocks and brush. You can spot it via outline if you're looking for it, but otherwise you probably won't notice it's there until it moves.
