Yes, everyone's favorite meme, open to player and audience participation as well! Most of you have played this game (or the home version), but for those newcomers, it's simple: Post a question for any character in the game, and get it answered in and/or out of character!

Kurt (also, Lorna, Terry, anyone who applies to the religious part, Catholic or not): How do you balance being a devout practicing Catholic while being around people who do things that your faith teaches are commiting sins? (Jay, for example) And how do you balance the Catholic requirement for mass with the fact that at any moment you could be called into duty as an X-man and unable to worship?

Cain: What IS your shoe size, anyway? Seriously, where does a guy that big get things likes clothes, shoes, etc?

Jim: Do the personalities come into conflict in little ways as well, like likes/dislikes in food/clothing, that sort of thing? How disruptive to your normal daily life is it?

Sam: What in the holy hell did you major in, Guthrie? Inquiring minds want to know. Where did you go to college, anyway?

Remy: Any further progress on the finding things you actually know you like/enjoy? If so, what?

Shoe size is a 22 quintuple E. That's five. And for the record, I get most of my clothes from the Husky Man outlet store in Salem Center. Dry cleaners in town make any alterations I need, especially for my suits (66 Long, if you're keeping track).

No, it doesn't. It tastes like cilantro. However, I'm no more fond of it than Forge is these days. Magneto is entirely too fond of the stuff. The taste reminds me of playing canasta. Not to mention other even more horrific things. The smell makes me a little bit nauseous to tell you the truth.

Um, I'll have to get back to you on the Catholic thing. The only part that I can answer in less than 1000 words is the called away to duty thing. It's long been tradition that travellers have dispensation. I usually will hit morning mass if I miss Sunday but I don't worry too much about it.

I just...do? I don't really know. It's not really my place to judge anyone. I have enough faults of my own to be worrying about others. And...some things I don't have the same views of as the Church does.

They do. It's not so disruptive anymore, but sometimes I'll be in the middle of painting and forget what I was doing, or trying to do paperwork after a long day and be possessed by an overwhelming urge to play with Hot Wheels. I just take a deep breath, quote from the Bhagavad-gita, and it passes. ...or I wake up an hour later eating crackers with Moira. It depends on how stressed out I am. My inner child can be obstinant.

Cyndi does think I dress like a dork, but if it were up to Cyndi I'd have so many piercings I'd never make it through the average metal detector, so I mostly just ignore her.

I do still have the occasional moment when I realize I don't like to smoke a split-second before I take a drag, though. That's . . . kind of annoying.

Three things at this point.

Novels by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. Started because you can buy them at any airport in Europe, found himself intrigued by the intermixture between mystery/conspiracy and elements of art and literature. The mystery part he's usually got figured out, and the art side drags him into different things.

Wikipedia. As a followup to the novels, Remy spends a lot of time looking around various things on the net, and likes wikipedia for that. Remy's training gives him a basis in many things, so he still treats it like research. The reality is that he's starting to get reasonce from certain things, which is where personal tastes start.

Photography by Leo Touchet, especially his work in the South and in New Orleans during the late sixties and early seventies. A woman recognized his accent in a bookstore and persauded him to by a book of his work.

If I thought confronting someone about what they were doing would do any good, I'd say something. If 'twas something the people in authority at the school generally treated as needing addressing (like I used to think the drinking would be), I'd report it. As it is, with most of what goes on 'tis neither against the rules nor as if my opinion would matter over what they've already decided to do, so saying anything would probably just encourage them anyway.

As always, trying to pretend it wasn't as bad as it was, and not thinking about it.

In a few weeks, deciding that proaction is better than reaction, and despite the ugly things that were done, it did more good than harm to stop it before it started, rather than try to stop things once they had started.

ReallyOOC: Kyle's a sixteen year old boy with more hormones than sense. And he's really not mature enough for love, much less a long-term relationship. Add on top of that, that he's really not very gay, or even very bi, and it adds up to the relationship ending eventually anyway.

This is more of a big behind the scenes question, but one I've been meaning to ask for a while:

How do you guys usually go about writing your logs? E-mail? Chat? Do you "play" them first on-line, and later rewrite them into story format, or is it more of a direct fiction writing process?

Also, if you feel like divulging tonight, how much joint planning goes into the plotlines, and how much do the mods/GMs not tell you, so that you need to make up stuff on the fly?

That's actually a huge question. Maybe give a recent plotline as example?

Right, since I'm technically the idiot in charge of a major plot right now, why not divulge?

Logging depnds on the player. They're usually written in tandem over email or in AIM. Some prefer email and some prefer AIM. I like AIM because it's more immediate, but then I have a lot more mistakes that need editing later.

Planning usually takes some advance warning, especially if it's a big one. You have to work this stuff out at least a couple of months in advance if it involves a lot of players. (or a plot that's just starting to happen has actually been in the works for MONTHS) Your plot is your plot, you send it to the mods for approval, and they'll make sure you're not running over someone else's toes and keeping your facts straight, but the details are solely yours and anybody else's you plotted with.

Then it's up to you to write everything that you need. The mods have no set plan for the game, they just try to keep it from going down in flames.

Take Ghost of a Chance. The email went out for that a few months prior to June. The call went up for players who were interested, and we sent our ideas to the plot-holder (who would be Tarot's player, in this case) for her approval. She handled the very plot-specific logs, while the rest of us were able to come up with visions and whatnot and post them.

I remember reading something to the effect that an NPC was based on a player’s real life sensei. Do you base characters on real people often?

All characters: What do you secretly want to do with your life? If it’s a goal you feel you’ll never achieve, do you think the choices you’ve made in the past are what keep you from achieving your goal? Or are you hindered by a situation you’ve been placed in (as opposed to one you’ve created for yourself)?

What is your big fear? Do you let it cripple you, or is something you’re trying to move past?

If you could trade powers with another character, whose powers would you pick?
